The next move in Dassault’s expanding Middle East presence will see a Falcon jet training center open in Dubai in the new year. Dassault recently placed a new customer service manager in Saudi Arabia and opened a new authorized service center in Jeddah. Now it is gearing up to launch the UAE facility with CAE SimulFlite. The training center will open its doors in the second quarter of 2011.
It will support the growing fleet of Falcon jets around the Gulf. “Dassault delivered a total of 14 large cabin Falcons in the last two years in the Middle East,” says Jacques Chauvet, senior vice president of customer service. “Dassault Falcon currently has around 60 business jets based in the region and we expect this number to grow significantly over the next three years, with a strong forward order book driven by sales of the Falcon 7X.”
At MEBA Dassault is exhibiting the Falcon 7X, 2000LX, and 900DX. To date, the 7X fleet has accumulated more than 57,000 flight hours, operating in over 25 countries with orders from more than 40 countries. The fleet leader has logged more than 3,000 flight hours since delivery mid-2007. “The high usage rate (higher than other Falcons) demonstrates that the Falcon 7X is a very active part of many flight departments,” said Chauvet.
