JSSI Looks To European Expansion

Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI) is conducting executive searches for a European sales leader who will lead the international sales effort for the Chicago-based company and thereby allow CEO Louis C. Seno to devote his attentions to running the entire company. Seno has been carrying the flag for JSSI in Europe from the company’s Farnborough headquarters in the TAG facility at the airport.
Susan Marr, JSSI’s chief administrative officer, executive vice president and general counsel, told Aviation Week today, “We’ve been doing business in Europe for many years, and we’re committed to our clients there.” Seno has been operating from Europe at the inception of the planned expansion to provide leadership, she said. His presence told European clients “We’re here to stay,” Marr said.
The company counts 21% of its client base in Europe now and anticipates a somewhat more rapid growth rate there. “We expect to see that percentage rise,” Marr said. In addition to opening a new office, JSSI has added personnel, including technical representatives. A total of 14 people are now fully focused on Europe, with 11 of those actually based there, Marr noted.
The company was founded in 1989 to provide clients with the financial tools to manage costs of operation and maintenance for turbine-powered aircraft. In 2008, JSSI was acquired by R.H. Book and Capital Partners. Seno joined the company in January 2009 from senior management stints at Boeing’s and GE’s financial arms.
At the recent NBAA convention, the company rolled out its Platinum Engine Maintenance Program aimed at large cabin aircraft powered by high-thrust Rolls Royce and GE engines. A Supplemental Lift Program provides rental engines or charter services if necessary in order to maintain company operations.
